Frequently asked questions

The Great Turkey Tour by Plane includes three domestic flights: Istanbul to Cappadocia on day one, Cappadocia to Izmir on day three and Izmir back to Istanbul on day five. International flight tickets to and from Istanbul are not included. Tell us your departure city and dates and we can quote them for you separately.

Each domestic flight includes 20kg of checked baggage and 8kg of cabin baggage per person. If your international ticket allows more, pack so that you can travel within these limits on the three domestic legs.

Domestic flight times are confirmed with your booking. Send us your international arrival and departure times when you enquire, so we can match the day one flight to Cappadocia and the day five flight back to Istanbul around them.

CWB is a child with a bed, CNB is a child without a bed. Both rates assume the child shares a room with two adults. Tell us your children’s ages when you enquire and we will confirm which rate applies.

It is not part of this package, but we can arrange it as a paid add-on subject to availability. Flights are weather dependent and take off around sunrise, so the mornings of day two and day three, before the flight to Izmir, are the slots to aim for. Ask us for the current price when you book.

The route includes a carpet school and a pottery workshop in Cappadocia, a jewellery centre before Uchisar, a textile stop at Pamukkale, a leather outlet with a live fashion show before Ephesus, and a Turkish Delight stop in Bursa. They are part of the standard itinerary and show genuine local crafts, and you browse at your own pace.
